Grant Accounting Office – General Office Assistant Pay: $12.50 per hour, must be an enrolled student at The University of Iowa   Hours per week: generally 6-10 hours, maximum 10 hours per weekRequired Qualifications:  Must be an enrolled student, must reside in the Iowa City area during the school year. Begin position in May or June 2025, to work through at least May 2026 and possibly continuing through at least May 2027. Commitment to a regular work schedule, strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to enter data in spreadsheets and databases accurately. The ability to work effectively in a remote-work office setting.Desirable Qualifications: Classroom or work experience entering data in spreadsheets or databases; prefer major in Business, Finance, or Accounting.Work Schedule: After training is complete, Flexible hours between hours of 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; after at least 3 months experience we can consider allowing weekend hours. Schedule for at least 3 days per week, preferably 4 days per week. This position requires telework/remote work; currently, there are no in-person office hours. Job Beginning/Ending Dates: Seeking applicants who will begin in the position in June 2025, to work through at least May 2026, possibly continuing through May 2027+.  Must be an enrolled student at The University of Iowa.Overview:  Office Assistant-Grant Accounting with data entry, query, and clerical functions. Position has flexibility, and generally attendance for at least 3 days per week is required. Training will be provided by the team supervisor and other staff, as assigned.Duties: Perform office support activities under the direction of the supervisors in Grant Accounting.
